• Edwards made NASCAR history at Atlanta THREE TIMES in 2005. He beat Jimmie Johnson to the finish line at Atlanta in the 2005 Golden Corral 500 by just 2-hundredths of a second. He than became the first driver in 2005 to win both a NASCAR Nationwide and Cup Series race the same weekend at Atlanta. Lastly, he became the FIRST driver to win their first NASCAR Nationwide and Cup Series win the same weekend.
